If you freeze as a result of giving too much ram to gmod or just in general freeze, you can forceclose gmod with task manager or by typing this into command prompt:64 bit beta:taskkill /f /im gmod.exeRegular:taskkill /f /im hl2.exe
Fast Download (also know as sv_downloadurl) is a practice used to get content from the server to the client faster. By default the download limit is capped in Garrysmod at 20kb/s. So to get content to clients faster, we use Fast Download which allows the client to download at standard http speeds.
how to run faster in gmod
Maps will automatically be downloaded from the server if the file is placed on the Web Server. The advantage of this is that instead of downloading the map at 20kb/s, the client will download it at their average internet speed. There are even tricks to help them download faster, however that will be discussed further on.
Bzip2 is a program which can be used to significantly reduce the size of the files on the Fast Download server. Source natively supports Bzip2, so it's known that this will work. Bzip2 can reduce a file's size by up to 75%. This means a 50mb file can be 15mb or less, allowing players to download it faster. This also means if you have bandwidth limits, you'll save bandwidth with smaller files. Every single file that can be used by Fast Download can be Bzipped. However, the files on the Game Server must be the original files. Only the Web Server needs the bzipped files The normal files do not need to be on the web server if you use Bzip2.
Fast Download is certainly worth the time and money to set up. Your players get their models and whatnot faster and you get a slight peace of mind knowing that your server is that bit more secure and safer.
Multicore was enabled with the console command gmod_mcore_test 1, cl_threaded_bone_setup 2, and mat_queue_mode -1. It still seems Garry's Mod is not that resource hungry when it comes to cores. If you have a quad-core (8 threads) or duo-core (4 threads) processor, you won't have to invest more on a better CPU if you can't get good framerate. If you can't run Garry's Mod on high graphical settings, you will need to get a better GPU instead such as a GTX 750 Ti if you're only going to play Garry's Mod and other Valve games. In addition, a better GPU will guarantee you better framerate in triple A-titled games such as Rise of the Tomb Raider and Assassin's Creed Odyssey.

This VS is very powerful so engaging it on foot is a suicidal option, which means that engaging it in a GTF-11 is a must. The VS will use the Missile Launcher if the player is too far away for it to use the gatling gun or its stomp attack. To avoid the missile, either get behind cover or jump/dash out of the way. It is important to consider that when a player wants to get close to fight the GTB-22CC that they must be aware that they will be in the proximity of the attack range of its stomp attack, so mid-range combat is best here as it will resort to its gatling gun to attack. If the VS jumps into the air and is above or close to the player, the player has 2 options to avoid the upcoming stomp attack: either jump and hover in the air or dash out of the way before the stomp is executed. The gatling gun attack is not as much of a worry as the other attacks as the gatling gun does little damage but it is a bad idea to be exposed to it for a long period of time as it will slowly drain the health of the player's Drio, so it is best to take the damage for separate periods of time. Also note that the GTB can run faster than the Drio so it does have the ability to catch up with the player to initiate its stomp attack, even if the player's VS is at running speed and running in the opposite direction, so if that occurs, dash in the opposite direction to keep some distance between the 2 VSs.
